After our nap and showers (very refreshing), we headed to the lobby to find other members of our Cruise Critic Roll Call. One lady on the Roll Call created a design for T-shirts and buttons that we could all buy from Cafe Press. We had our buttons on and found three other couples in the lobby bar area. The conversation was fun and the group moved to the concierge lounge up on the 21st floor, which has a great view of the city and the nearby dock areas.
We also talked to another couple in the lounge who had just disembarked from the Zaandam. They had a 21-day experience that started in Valparaiso, Chile, and included the cruise-by of Antarctica. They had great weather, a smooth crossing of the Drake Passage and really enjoyed the experience.
It was a beautiful evening and Steve went up to the pool deck to get pictures of the sunset and a huge thunderstorm forming to the north, over Uruguay. We had a very restful night and woke up to the sound of thunder this morning. It’s raining outside now and we’re not sure what we are going to do today. We may talk to the concierge about short bus tours that are available this afternoon. We still have our dinner reservation for tonight at I Latina, the top-rated restaurant in the city.
From the concierge lounge (free breakfast) we can see our ship! Infinity arrived this morning and we embark tomorrow after 11:30 am. The thunderstorms are supposed to continue through tomorrow.
More from Buenos Aires soon..
