So, here we are about two and a half weeks away from our next adventure. On this trip, we’ll fly from Denver to Frankfurt via Washington D.C., spend a day on Frankfurt, then fly to Venice where we’ll spend time until boarding the Oceania cruise ship Marina. This is a new ship and the largest of the Oceania fleet, so we’re looking forward to this trip with a lot of anticipation.
Through a bit of luck, we’re now in a penthouse suite on Deck 11, which should be pretty incredible. Barb’s made dinner reservations at a number of the inboard specialty restaurants, and we have something planned in just about every port of call. We leave Venice and go to ports in Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro, then spending time in five Greek ports before heading to Ephesus and Istanbul, Turkey. From there we fly back to Frankfurt, spending the night again before flying back to Denver via Chicago.
I’m not sure exactly how much blogging time we’ll have — we’re in port every day and will probably be too tired to write at night! Still, drop by when you can and we’ll try to send a steady stream of photos from Europe.
